As part of its role as a service provider to the Moravian-Silesian Region, the RDA drew up the Regional Development Strategy (2009–2016) and the Regional Innovation Strategy (2010–2016). The Agency is also responsible for implementing these strategies: regular updates to key performance indicators, project monitoring, annual action plans, meetings of coordinating and management structures, promotional activities and providing information on the Region's strategic documents. Currently the RDA is updating both documents in order to ensure that the Region is fully prepared for the next European Union programming period; the updated documents will focus on the latest key areas of EU development policy.
